Huddle · London / Remote (UK + EU) · Permanent
Senior Full-Stack Engineer
Help us turn the room where research meetings actually happen into the best long-form collaboration surface on the market.
01 The role
Huddle is the video-and-workspace product researchers use for the meetings that do not look like sales calls, long, multilingual, document-heavy, resumed days later. You will work across the realtime media stack, the persistent-room data model, and the surface researchers actually open. We hire senior because the work spans several disciplines; we expect you to be strong in two of them and curious about the rest.
02 What you will own
A real piece of the company.
- .01
Own a feature in Huddle from data model to UI, including the realtime portion.
- .02
Contribute to the transcription / translation pipeline used in 90+ languages.
- .03
Pair with the Shelves team on the file-handoff surface (recordings, whiteboards, summaries).
- .04
Take part in the customer-feedback loop, Huddle is used by people who reply to bug reports.
03 What you bring
The musts and the bonuses.
Required
- ● Five-plus years of professional experience across both backend and frontend disciplines, with a real artefact in each.
- ● Comfort with at least one realtime media or signalling layer (WebRTC, LiveKit, Mediasoup, Janus, whichever you have shipped).
- ● TypeScript fluency; React or Svelte is fine, both is better, neither is fine if you can pick up our component primitives quickly.
- ● A clear preference for written communication, Huddle is built by people who use Huddle, and we are mostly asynchronous.
Bonus, not required
- ○ Experience in the higher-ed or research sector (the customers we serve).
- ○ Open-source contributions to any of the realtime stacks above.
- ○ A second language; we will hire you faster if it is Turkish or French.
